Level 1 – KW Spring Sleeve Kit

The KW Coil -Over spring kit is used for lowering the vehicle in combination with the serial dampers, even when electronic damper control is installed. This lowering solution from KW optimises the dynamic performance and the steering behavior without the electronic damper control deactivated. For this solution vehicle specific adjustable spring seats with adjusted KW lowering springs and the matching elastomer as well as the dust cover system will be used. This complete conversion allows an individual adjustable lowering solution.

Level 2 – KW Variant 3 Coilover Kit

State-of-the-art technology, from motor sports for more performance on the road. The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup for different uses and preferences. The unique patented system with its two-stage valves allows a rebound damping adjustment (comfort) and a compression adjustment (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range while the high-speed range which controls the driving safety, is fixed.

A very popular choice with customers, who either wish to spend a lot of time, on the track or those running high power GT-R’s. Using this kit will do away with the internal damping adjustment that you currently have but the Variant 3 has easy to adjust control and once fitted we personally 4 wheel laser align your GT-R to make sure that all the settings are for optimum handling.

Helping lowered vehicles to avoid road clearance difficulties

The HLS provides additional road clearance for lowered vehicles. When expanded, a range of up to 45 mm of lift is produced, thereby helping sport cars avoid road clearance difficulties such as speed bumps, road construction, etc. KW HLS is available specifically for your R35 GT-R.

HLS is available in two different versions: HLS 2 which is fitted to the front axle and HLS 4 which can be attached to the front and rear axle and allows lifting the entire vehicle. The hydraulic cylinder unit is located on the coilover body between spring perch and spring. The advantage of a hydraulic system is that there is no compression (motion) of the extended cylinder unit (resulting in no unwanted additional suspension movement) while driving.

This kit is designed for serious race use and as such incorporates high and low speed bump control valves for further chassis fine tuning. By adjusting either bump or rebound damping the damping ratio can be adjusted, however the extra adjustment over the R1 opens up many more options during the setup process. For example the high speed damping can be kept soft so the car is not thrown by running kerbs, whilst not compromising body control in the transient cornering phase (turn in, applying power). The low speed control is more concerned with grip. Softening the low speed will increase the grip, useful if suffering from power-oversteer.

The NTR Race R3 remote reservoir (or piggyback in some specifications) kit provides yet another level of performance over the 1-way and 2-way kits, this is mainly due to the independent bump and rebound valving mechanisms and the low speed bleed reducing harshness and increasing grip further. Other benefits of remote reservoirs are higher fade resistance due to a higher oil volume, plus a larger surface area to radiate the heat to the atmosphere.
This kit includes Nitron’s camber and castor adjustable pillow-ball top mounts (where applicable), these eliminate all rubber in the system and so ensure all road inputs are transmitted directly into the damper, maximising wheel control and providing optimum feedback to the driver’s finger tips. The adjustable top plates also give the option to increase camber or castor angles for a more race orientated geo setup (for example Race/slick type tyres can permit use of more camber).
